Toshiba Satellite M45-S351 won't boot from anything but the hard drive
So I've encountered a rather odd error that I can't seem to figure out. I've been trying to install Ubuntu on my Toshiba M45-S351, but it refuses to boot from anything but the hard drive. I have the boot order as CD-ROM->FDD->LAN->HDD but it bypasses all of those, and when I hit F12 and select the CD-ROM manually, it goes straight to the hard drive. I've even tried hitting 'c' like on some of the old Toshibas, but nothing. Here's the really weird part though: when the hard drive is physically removed from the machine, it boots from CD-ROM and LAN just fine. When there is a drive in the machine, however, it refuses to boot from anything but the hard drive. Suggestions? I'm weirded out.
