Synology RS3412xs and nrpe plugins.

Hi there.

Is there any way to install nrpe plugins and process on DSM 4.0

I would like to have it monitored on my nagios along other servers. I couldn't find anything that would point me out where to find the solution.

Have you gone through setting up root CLI to Synology, with ipkg package management tool installed and set? If yes, you could search your archetecture's repository if there is a nrpe binary available:
Code:
# ipkg search nrpe
For my hardware (ARM) there is nrpe_2.6-1 package precompiled. http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/op..._2.6-1_arm.ipk

no I haven't done it yet. Any useful links how to do that?

I can log in through ssh though but command ipkg is not recognized.

Might be worth asking on Synology forums how to set up i3 CPU - it is relatively new CPU for Synology and wiki probably wasn't updated yet. Although Synology forums are frustatingly slow, prepare for a week wait before your post gets past moderators. I suspect they are checking your criminal records before allowing the post to go through
