SR9700 USB To RJ45 Network Adapter

Hello Everyone,
I am new to linux world. Since few weeks I have been trying hard to install & start using SR9700 USB To RJ45 Network Adapter with my Raspberry Pi 4 machine but nothing works.

I will briefly explain you what all things I have done:
I have used "modprobe sr9700" command to load the driver
In the kernel log messages, I am seeing SR9700 getting mounted as a file system I can see that in lsblk
I unmounted it, used "usb_modeswitch" but no help

Can anyone please guide me what next things I should look for?

I haven't done this but can't you get by with the built in network adapter or the wifi adapter? Are you sure that you have the correct driver (compiled for pi and the OS variant you are using). I installed a similar gizmo on a laptop whose NIC adapter failed. Its fiddly. You might be better of asking this in a dedicated pi forum.

If you require any current from the RJ45, forget it. I actually haven't a breeze what you are doing because you're too vague and I shouldn't have to research your post to find out things you should have told us.

Unless I completely misunderstood (it has been known to happen ) the OP is using a gizmo which gives him a network adapter via a USB port. Just like the one I bought recently but cannot now locate on line.

Edit: like this one He might need it because he wants a second ethernet port - the pi 4 only has 1 or because the onboard one failed.

You just plug it in and then spend an inordinate amount of time sorting out the drivers. I used it because a venerable laptop lost its onboard port and I needed a wired connection.

Is the device still showing up as USB storage? What message did usb_modeswitch give?
