Special numpad problem

Hi!

I have a problem that just occured on my computer. The numpad doesn't work the way I want it. It's this way:
01. I want to have the numpad deactivated by default (to have the functionality of Pos1 and End)
02. And I want to mark text with Pos1 and End, combined with Shift.

The problem is: by default, the numpad is deactivated, but whenever I try to combine it with Shift (for example Shift+Pos1), I get a 7 instead of marking the hole line to the first character. KDE settings seem not to work.

Thanks.
