sound goes out after each reboot.(sb audigy 2 ze)

Running SUSE 9.2 with 2.6.8-24.11-default kernel with a CL SB audigy 2 ZE and each time I shut down and come back my sound is off. I have to go in to YaST and then hardware to sound then go to change and go to volume and manually increase it. Is there a way to save it so it doesn't reset? I dual boot windows but this doesn't happen just when I boot into windows. It happens when I shut down for the night in SUSE and the next morning boot into SUSE. Help is appreciated.

I think this is what worked for me...

I upgraded my drivers firstly (ALSA) not sure if that had an effect, and then i set up my volume controls as i like them using a mixer application.

I saved it using alsactl store.

If this doesn't cause it to be automatically loaded on startup, ensure that either alsasound it started on startup or that u run alsactl restore on startup.

I hope that works/helps...
