hi, well my problem is that my sound card isn't working. i have mandrake 9.2 installed and it was working fine ever since i installed it. and about half an hour ago i got a new desk so i unhooked everything and then put it back to gether and all the sudden the sound doesn't work. anyone have any ideas on what to do here?
well when i was trying to play a song from xmms it came up with an error just saying what could be wrong...but now, after i was messing with the drivers i press play and its playing but still no sound, kmix isn't working, i'm gonna restart to see if it works, if not i'll be back

device/dev/dsp can't be opened (No such file or directory)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.
kmix is still not working for me...and when i press play on xmms it comes up with the couldn't open audio msg. and it says
please check that:
1. you have the correct output plugin selected
2. no other programs are blocking the soundcard
3. your soundcard is configured properly
