Since making Android phone recognizable, gmtp/qlix crash when connecting to Kindle

I did this, and it works for making gmtp recognize my Xperia S in Ubuntu 12.04

But now when I connect my Kindle Fire

Code:
matt@matt-NV57H:~/Downloads/libmtp-1.1.6$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04f2:b23d Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd
Bus 002 Device 043: ID 1949:000a Lab126
gmtp crashes upon trying to connect

Code:
matt@matt-NV57H:~/Downloads/libmtp-1.1.6$ gmtp
