serial ata raid

Hi everybody!

I have a new computer wich has a serial ata raid disc controller. Trying to install slackware 9.0 but it can't find the hard drive... Do I have to compile a custom kernel and make a boot floppy? If so, what do I need to include in this kernel to get this working??

Greetings,
