suggesting me to install the appropriate drive for the scsi card.
the mandrake config let me able to choose the relisys scanner, but in the

If that SCSI card is a cheap one or if it came with the scanner, it would be better to replace the card with a better one. If you must stay with ISA, get an Adaptec 152x or 154x card. Or get a SB16 or PAS16 that has a SCSI port. If you can use a PCI card, get an Adaptec 2940 or a Symbios card.

The 1520 and 1540 cards have no floppy controllers; the 1522 and 1542 cards do have floppy controllers. The 1522 has a jumper to disable to floppy controller if you already have one.

The SB16+SCSI card has no external connector for connecting your scanner. You must also get an adapter for connection to the internal port. You place the adapter in an unused ISA/VL/PCI card slot.

RedHat 5.1 aha1522 driver doesn't see my card, need data?

Hi,

I would like to disable the floppy controller on the aha1522, but can't find a diagram on the adaptec website.
The RH v.5.1 install CD has a driver, but doesn't see the card in the HP Vectra 6/200 Pentium Pro.
I hope to attach an Agfa SnapScan scanner and use SANE drivers.
Thanks
George
