scsi controller and usb disk problem

everyoe:

I have a server of DELL 2850,it has scsi disk on it;I installed redhat 7.3,when I use usb disk,I found it not show in #fdisk -l,and the sda is the scsi disk,how can i use the usb disk on it?someone please help me! thanks

Check if these modules are loaded:
usb_storage
scsi_mod
usbcore
usb_storage
ohci_hcd
ehci_hcd

Before plugging in the usb drive, open up a terminal and start monitoring the kernel messages:
sudo tail -f /var/log/messages

There may be some problems indicated.
Your version of Red Hat is extremely old, so I doubt if you will have a hald daemon running. If there is a red hat utility program to display the hardware on the server, you could try running it. This could cause the device you need to be reprobed.
