Scanner Plustek

I every body!

I hope you will help me to fix my problem.

I'm using Redhat 8

Kernel version 2.4.20-31.9

sane-backend 1.0.8

I'm trying to install the sane module I followed the instruction from:
w w w .gjaeger.de/scanner/howtos/NewbiePlustekHowto/NewbiePlustekHowto.h t m l

It have one ting I'm unable to do, its to Providing version.h

Its said to copy /boot/vmlinuz.version.h to /lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/build/include/linux/version.h

But in /boot I dont have any files with this name

If I run make its working but if I run make install I got the following error:

mkdir -p /lib/modules/2.4.20-31.9/misc
install -c -m "644" pt_drv.o /lib/modules/2.4.20-31.9/misc
install: cannot stat `pt_drv.o': No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 1

Thanks to help me
