help with soundcard

ello again, thx for responding jtshaw, I posted an earlier thread describing a problem that i have with my SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY 2ZS sound card. My second post, the one you responded to is me posting my /sbin/lspci paste late due to the fact that i didnt read the news to n00bs first on posting to this forum. Anyway, I wanted to the reason that i couldnt play sound from my card even though Fedora Core 4 sound detection utility recoginzes my card. I went the ALSA-PROJECT website, download and ran what i thought were the drivers for my card (emu10k1), I ran the drivers, the libs, and utils, im able to birng up the alsamixer but it does nothing to help. Im sure that im missing something but due to my serious lack of knowledge with Linux I am now at my witts end. Any suggestions?
