SATA 10k and 7200 rpm... Transfer Rate...


I had the impression that the Read / Write speeds multiplied by the latency determined the transfer speed.

Anyone know the correct arithmatic in this scenario?

Well manufactures have already done the math for you. Go to their site and find your desire hard drive model. Then find the read and write information speed.

Each hard drive has their own controller so equations will only give you a theory.
