Hello all,
I just bought a nice harddisk mp3-player, the samsung yh-925gs. According to the website of libmtp, it should work with Linux (i use Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy eft, by the way). So I compiled and installed libmtp.
I saved the file libmtp.rules to the /etc/udev/rules.d, with the right line for my mp3-player:
# Samsung YH-925
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04e8", SYSFS{idProduct}=="5024", SYMLINK+="libmtp-%k", MODE="666"
When I plug my Mp3 in, it shows on my desktop, and is mounted in /media/usbdisk (to which i have full rights).
Output of
lsusb:
Bus 004 Device 007: ID 04e8:5024 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd
This is right with my udev line.
So, when i enter
mtp-detect in the terminal, it shows:
No MTP devices.
No devices.
I'm getting tired of checking all lines over and over... can someone please help me??? i'm stuck
Thanks!
Sander
