Unhappy Running Hardware diagnostics in RHEL3

Hi folks,

Can any one suggest on running hardware diagnostics on Redhat AS 3, do we have to use any third party tool for this ?

How long this will take ?
Do we need the server to be rebooted ?

Thanks in advance ....

You can check with

hdparm, smartctl for hdd
testdisk

lspci -vvv
lshw for info

memtest will be difficult to use in a running system

See the manuals

You can check bios etc too, but what exactly do you want to check?
