Repairing?

Is there a way to repair a linux Red Hat 8.0 install?
My kde keeps crashing on me?

I'll right click on the panel and go to Remove -> button-> then go to remove the Klipper and bang the panel disapears and I receive a KDE Crashed message box.

THis is a brand new install 3 days old? WTF!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas?
