I already had RedHat 9 installed on my system. For a backup, i then decided to add a raid controller and set my 2 60gigs to RAID 1 mirroring. Everything worked fine but when i booted up linux after duplicating the drives, it said hdf is not ready for command. Just to be sure i went to reinstall the OS and got the same error on the cd. I know this can easily be fixed, but as a new raid user, i'm not too sure what that is.
