Hello,

I installed ubuntu 7.10 gutsy gibbon on my latpop.
Evertything works fine except the sound.
My audio card is a Realtek ID 268...

I have exactly the same card as you do, and I've tried almost every workaround on the Internet, to no avail. From what I understand no linux drivers currently exist for this card at all. We'll just have to wait until the alsa or realtek programmers get their act together.
