Ok, assuming your motherboard is really a P5LD2-X/1333 and not the one you listed, on page X of the manual it says that it is only rated for:

Quote:
2 x 240-pin DIMM sockets support unbuffered non-ECC
Memory
DDR2 400/533/667 memory modules
Supports up to 2 GB system memory
Which would indicate to me that this is another example of Intel using a 32bit memory controller on a 64bit motherboard. Which (memory wise) means that no matter what OS you are using(64bit or 32bit) your are going to be stuck with the 32bit limit.

No my manual only says if you use windos 32 Bits it is not recommended to use more than 3 GB
And the BIOS do stated that there is 4 GB but that 640 MB is appropriated (what ever this means)

I just went to the Asus and grabbed the manual of the model I specified(since they do not list the model you specified) and what I quoted was cut and pasted directly from that manual(the page number was the Roman number X). Intel using the 32bit memory controller(on certain chipsets) is a well documented and there are probably a dozen thread on this forum along that discus it.

Edit: Here is the link to the download page for the manual: http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us

If it is an ASUS mobo, you may need to enable memory mapping. Check your BIOS.
