It seems as though there has been countless issues with getting radeon 9x00 cards to work properly in linux. A simple search in the forum will produce numerous threads on this topic.

I thought it would be helpful, (especially for me, he he, i'm still trying to get it to work properly), if those that have successfully implemented their cards would kindly tell us their stories such as what problems they encounted and how they overcame them, a brief description of their systems would also bring a clearer insight into getting things happening.
