Wink PS2 mouse goes crazy [it goes round n round n round...]

Hi...

I have lately installed Mandrake 9.1 ...

In the second stage install (before copying files to the hard drive) I choose the mouse from the list (a Microsoft mouse) it worked perfect although it's a Logitech mouse...

Now... after bringing up KDE the mouse seems like goin round and round and round when it is in use...

After running "xfree86config", "mouseconfig" and "mousedrake" and choosing a standard PS2 mouse, I am getting this error

"no mouse section at /usr/lib/libDrakX/Xconfig/xfree3.pm line 27"

I am now attempting to have a look at this file...

Can someone help?

Regards,
Jon

Edit your XF86Config file and make the mouse section look like this:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
