i can fun "xorgconfig" and set it up with my specifications. then when i type startx, it goes wacky. either my monitor has a 800x600 and 56 Hz, with 256 colors, or no gui at all.
if you need more info on my computer, then just ask me.

that url has only stuff for xf86.

post the graphics part,and you need to put 8 for the memory and if the mode isn't listed you can't change to that.

when i type dmesg, i only see the networking part at the end.
i dont see any graphics part
i put it to 6, 7, and 8 and all the configurations didnt work.
but that still might be the right setting
i will leave out the numbers at the beginning. ask if you want them.
