problem : Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family in RH fedora core 5


Hi,
I am using RH Fedora Core 5 and my ethernet cord is Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet
NIC. as per the other posts i download from the net and try to install form the web[ r8169-6.006.00.tar ]or[ r8169-6.009.00.tar ]. when i installing as per the instructions found in the readme file i found the following errors are raised.

I found build file link is broken. the same error is repeating when i use the another driver [r8169-6.007.00.tar]. kindly help me

The Realtek NIC module from Realtek's site is written for kernel version 2.6.9. If you update your kernel to at least version 2.6.20 (I think), your NIC should work just fine using the Realtek module (driver) from the kernel. There is no need for you to do the hard work since the kernel developers already did.
