In the printer configure server area, under browsing, I see that CUPS is marked. I'm not sure if that really is the place or not.
I really need to learn this stuff. At first, linux was just a system to play clanbombers and get away from windows, now it's the ONLY system I have.

One other comment: at the risk of stating the obvious, the best one-stop-shop for dealing with printing issues under Linux is LinuxPrinting I'll assume you're aware of the site, but if not, it's got a lot a really useful info

Yeah, I was directed there once, I think to see what kind of printer works well with my system, being I feared my printer was on death roll.

Thanks for the site and all your help. I believe it works now, finally. If not, I'll be sure to check on the CUPS, the site, see what can be done to fix it.
Thanks again,
