PCMCIA wont start!

Hello,

I have spent allot of time trying to recompile PCMCIA_CS and trying to install the WLAGS driver to try to get my ORINOCO GOLD card to work.

Before I started messing around with pcmcia_cs my pcmcia was starting fine and I could get some other cards to work.

now when I boot pcmcia fails to start and when I try to restart it it gives me this error:

linux:/etc/init.d # pcmcia restart
Shutting down PCMCIA done
Starting external PCMCIA startproc: exit status of parent of /sbin/cardmgr: 1
failed

The last version of pcmcia_cs I compiled was pcmcia-cs-3.2.8. I have attempted to make config, make all, make install several times to try to get pcmcia working but it has not been successful to date. I dont see any errors when compiling however.

If I run dmesg I get this strange output:

linux:/etc/init.d # dmesg
cb_free(bus 2)

All I want is to get pcmcia to start again without giving errors. I no longer care about getting the Orinoco card to work since I have tried for so long without success. I just want pcmcia working properly.

Please let me know if you need anything else to try to solve this problem? Thanks.
