Hi there,

Would you believe it!!!

I'm still at it. Now i have the box at my office....

I have tried different kernels, knoppix, all strings for setserial, in a nutshell....everything under the sun...

I'm at one last attempt to install this 2.6.9 Kernel which supposedly works with the drivers....

As i'm typing this the kernel is getting compiled....

Just keeping my fingers crossed...

Thanks for all the help...

I will reply if i have any success...

Infact thinking of posting on HCL

Cheers

Hi 2damncommon,

I finally got around this issue. It was clearly an issue with Kernel 2.6, the drivers and the board itself.

I finally heard from the driver developers that the driver was buggy.

They are working on getting another driver/card for the box.

Thanks for all the help

Cheers

I will consider myself lucky replacing a failed Digiboard with a Byterunner. It sounded like it would work with Linux and was cheap. So far so good.

Good for you...i wasn't all that lucky though. Learnt never to trust the hardware the "Sales" department suggests (the hard way!)
