partitions

hello,
i have a hard drive, where i have Suse 9.0 / Windows XP ... so I have 2 partitions ..
I now want to buy a hard drive, and have all my files and documents there... and in my actual hard drive, only installed programs, etc ...
i want that my /home is on the new hard drive(since in the old one i just want programs) .. i want that this new hard drive is accesible for both linux and windows xp ..
what must i do ? what type shall the new hard drive be? must it be partitioned? and how can i do it?
thanks a lot,
eduardo lidanski

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
