Optimal Video Card Settings

What settings can I tweak in order to run my GeForce FX 5500 PCI 128 MB at its full potential? I want to see what I can do to run my graphics cards like a 128 MB video card and not a 32 MB video card. I have installed the drivers to the most recent ones, 1.0-8178. Is there anything I could do?

There's a part of the xorg.conf that deals with the memory size of the card which is normaly commented, although I've never noticed any difference when it is uncommented. Also, killing your DE or WM and starting your games from barebones X would keep the cache level down on your card. Other than that I think the bandwidth of the PCI interface and the card's chipset will matter more than memory size.
