I was happily burning away at some slack iso images when I heard a bizarre sound come from my cd burner. The burn finished with no problems but the carriage wouldnt close! I voided my warranty cause Im a pioneer and found that a spongy pad had dislodged from where cds are balanced (at the least the shape suggests this). Now this is a shot in the dark but has anyone else taken the pad out ...leaving it out with no problems? Or should I try...er...glueing it into place?

hmmm...well Im gonna just try without for now, but if you know anything about this, please let me know.
