Question on board sound not detected intel d865gbf


auto detection of soundcard is not working on intel d865gbf.
got the drivers from intel website.
cant understand how do i load the driver.
my sound card is onboard.
its soundmax.
please help me out of it.

How do you know its not detected if you didnt install the drivers?

What drivers do you have a loadable module driver?

Surely you have sound for an onboard card.

Hi,

Can u tell me from where i can get the sound driver for 865 Intel motherboard for RedHat Linux 9

hey the guy taht wsays the auto detect doesn't detec it tahst what happeend to me on fedora

but ur sound car will work works for me and the linux said it wasn't
detected try using music player and load a cd and import it and u will see taht it works

Install File

The install file for the downloaded driver are probably in the folder your driver came in.

This is an 8 year old thread....and most of the posters haven't been back since 2004.

Seems to me that necro-posting is a new sport amongst newbies, this is the fourth or fifth time in the last two days I have seen that.
