Hi. I was testing the Olympus FE 5020 camera on Linux.
I took a couple of photos and then connected it to my pc through the USB cable.
I did it and my Linux was able to detect it and open it as a removable device. There was two folders. One had a bunch of videos, perhaps photos that were not taken by my. The other had the name "cpm encrypted folder" or something similar.
As might be expected, I was not able to access its content.
There is an option on camera to format everything. I used it and then connected it again. This time, it showed neither of the two sub folders (the one that had videos and the one encrypted).
Then I proceeded to take new photos. I did so and then reconnected the device. This time nothing shows up in the main folder, no subfolders, no nothing.
Is it taking photos that does not show up because it's encrypted?
If yes, is there anything can be done?

Are you sure that's the actual model, Olympus FX 5020? I could not find anything aboutit.
Does the camera have a removable memory card? If yes, what type of card? Do you have a system with a card reader for the type of card you have?
If yes, plug the card into you system. It may, or may not auto mount. If it auto mounts, you should be able to browse the card, and look at the contents.
Are you sure what ever USB cable you have used is good?
