nvidia gforce mx400 drivers help redhat9


Greetings all , ive recently installed redhat 9 and ive already had the pleasure of installing a hsf software modem and configuring xmms for mp3 and installing mplayer for mpeg 4 altogether and now i need some help ive recently downloaded the drivers pack
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run
and i was wondering a few things first how do i exit my x server? do i need to edit my ect initab? if so then how lol and how do i boot back into my nice comfy gui for my os after (if) the drivers are installled oh and i suppose some help on how to tell my os to use the new drivers would be handy as well thanks for any help you could give me

kernel version 2.4.20-6
nvidia gforce 2 mx 400 64 mb pci
pentium3 (no laughing they arent that slow )
256 mb ram
qauntum fireball (more like ice hardrive)
redhat 9

this link here is all you need. .
if you wanna do it in the way of editing the inittab to go to runlevel 3 then click the link i supplied in that thread, if you just wanna go right to it after exiting the x server then scoll down in that thread and follow the step by step MasterC has supplied ...
oh and to get back to X, you will type startx at the prompt

the people in the linux community are great thanks for the helpful information ive got the drivers running and now im all set of course that is until i have to find ports for my games lol thanks again
