I get a blank screen when trying to modify the hardware via yast in runlevel 3 but I get a blank screen and nothing responds. I cannot switch to a diffrent console...ect.

When I try to start Xwindows blank screen.

When I look at the Xorg.0.log all I get is this

(ww) Open APM failed /dev/apm_bios no such file or directory

No EE's.

When I run xorg -configure I get a list of video drivers. Then it says Duplicate symbol NVWaitSync in /usr/X11r6/lib/modules/drivers/nv_drv.o also defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.o

Fatal server error:
Module load failure


Any thoughts....?? and as far as pasting any info thats not going to happen.

So please help. Im making a Digital picture frame out of a lcd and this linux laptop board. Its at a stand still till this works.

EDIT: How do I change the video driver to something that will work...?? Such as a generic driver that it uses during install?

edit the xorg config so it uses nv as the driver instead of nvidia.nv is the generic,non-accelerated driver it should have used for the install.
if you can log in run level 3,try "sax2 -m 0=nv".this should reverse the step for the nvidia driver install.

No luck on that. Same problem.
