ntfs not accessible!!! (ubuntu distro)

hello everybody!!!

i'm a newbie.

i just installed an ubuntu distro on a secondary hd, but i can't see the primary one in which there is a ntfs partition and windows xp...

how can i do?

tnx!!!

You have to mount it first. I suggest mounting it as read-only because writing to NTFS is still experimental.

Example:
mount -t ntfs -o ro /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
