Well, this is my last resort, I'e tried and I've tried different configurations. The fact is that the sound card worked fine with alsa drivers on Kernel 2.4.22 but I needed kernel 2.6.0-pre11 in order to get my Radeon9200 Agp 8x card working. So I installed the new kernel with ALSA support and the via82xx module and I get no sound ( the soundcard is not even detected). I serched and found a patch on www.alsa-project.org so I installed it with the kernel 2.6.0-pre11 and after this the kernel found the soundcard. But from the console I could play mp3s but with a high distortion and a poor sound. When I entered in KDE there was no soundcard detected and I just couldn't make it work. Alsa if I run alsaconf it says that there is not known soundcard in my system. Could somebody help me ? I could also post some of my configuration files ... (Is this a problem of the kernel 2.6.0-pre11 ? Should I wait for the final release ? )
