This might be to do with the probing of which particular pcmcia controller you have that slackware normally does. When you got part way through the slack 9 install, how did you recover from it?

I didnt, i didnt know what to do....
I had to install Slackware 8.1 instead, without the card plugged in...
But the installation is fine, when it freezes is in the booting part.

So, are you back to using 8.1, or did you get through the 9.0 install and now the problem is it freezes on boot?
You may be able to get by the freezing at boot by putting this on the command line you get from lilo, where it says "boot: ", then you could put "linux pcmcia=off", then you may be able to check the logs for messages as to what caused the freeze up. It's probably a resource conflict, but it's hard to say why 8.1 doesn't have the problem too. Once you get by the boot, check /var/log/messages, /var/log/syslog, /var/log/kernel/errors.

Slackware 8.1 -> freezes when if and when i plug the card in.
Slackware 9.0 -> freezes on boot, with or without the card plugged in...
Let me check the log file.
