New Mount Point?


ok i have a 40 gb drive that I installed RH 9 from, Now during the install it would not let me make a mount point on the drive so how does one make a mount point on a drive AFTER install? I currently have about 30 gb that i cant use because thiers no mount point!

I assume you mean a partition. Use "fdisk" to create the partition and "mkfs" to format it.

Thanx for the reply, my MS tainted brain keeps forgeting some of the commands to do stuff in linux are similar to the MS way of doing things!lol

I have read that fdisk is buggy. Use cfdisk instead.

I thought by now Redhat should have a GUI disk manager.
