Question Need a new video card!!

I need a new video card for my Pentium II (I know it sucks and shouldn't need a new video card, but I'm intent on getting one for it) that runs Windows 98 and Red Hat 9. I need a video card that is compatible with both of these OSes (and I would choose one that had Linux drivers provided by the manufacturer over one that didn't) that doesn't cost more than $40 - $50. I was thinking about an NVidia or one of

these...

but I'm not sure if it is any good? And is "graphics aaccelerator" just a big long complicated word for "video card"? Another one I was considering was one of

these...

but I'm not totally decided on either of these and will be open to suggesstions...
Are these video cards half-way decent for $50? Keep in mind that the computer they are going to be put in is only running at 300MhZ, so it can't use great graphics anyway, though the card must be 3D - compatible, as the one that is in there now, in addition to being crappy, can't do any 3D graphics rendering at all.

Note: the reason I'm getting a new card is so that I can improve the graphics of Diablo II, Unreal Tournament, and allow the old computer to run Quake III Arena (yes, it meets all system requirements except the card for this game).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would get an nVidia card just because I hear a lot more people having problems with the ATI drivers then I hear people having problems with the nVidia ones....

well i personally will say i would never buy a ATI card for as long as i live, and nvidia specs and benchmarks beat ati hands down, and thats not a personal opinion thats a fact... but since i am a lover of nvidia, thats what i recommend ... but to save you a couple more dollars
check this one
better name and for a cheaper price
so thats my 2 cents ;-)

That is a nice card, DrOzz! I have a bunch of Asus stuff in another computer (also running RedHat9) and once I downloaded the binaries for my card it worked great - I think I'll get that one, unless someone else suggests another one that looks better?

Edit:

Oops! Only one thing thats wrong with that card! It isn't supported by Red Hat 9.0, so I wouldn't be able to use it on my Linux partition... There are other Asus cards that are supported, so I'll check those out...

no need for a hcl when you get a nvidia based card ;-)
but yes, if you decide to get a low end unpopular card that is terrible, then you should stop over and check it
