Moving /home to a new harddrive
I've got a simple Redhat linux 8 box running, mainly just to tinker, and learn more about linux. I've got a server installation up and running on a 6gb drive, but want to add a larger harddrive, mainly to replace the /home partition. Can someone point to a FAQ, or provide the steps to do this? I've got a 20gb drive that I can use, and would simply use the entire 20gb partition in place of the /home partition, which is about 2gb right now. I don't really need to change any other partition sizes on the 6gb drive, just need to move the /home to the new drive. Thanks so much for any help. I've searched the archives, and couldn't really find anything that was of much help for my situation. Also, when I've copied the existing /home partition to the new partition, and then changed the mount point, is there some way to recover that old /home partition, and perhaps mount it at some other mount point, perhaps as the /var/www/html directory or something.
Regards,
Van
