Move an HDD with GNU/Linux to another computer...

Will the installed and configured GNU/Linux system continue to work 100% if I move an HDD with it to a completely another machine? With another CPU platform (from Intel to AMD), another RAM (from DDR2 to DDR3), and other things that will differ.

I don't believe I would say that to within 100%.

The problem is with installers. You just never know if some small work around has some odd change to some files.

I'd say maybe 90%+ it will work correctly, others may give a higher odd. Without knowing what the change is we can't guess.

I am not sure I'd even say 100% chance it would work even if you used the installer, so... YMMV
