Mouse Wheel under Kernel 2.6

Hi everybody!

I compiled the Kernel 2.6 b8 and nearly everything works well!

But now the Mouse-Wheel dosen't function, if i start in kernel2.4 it works again.

I have a logitech ps2 mouse and i am using gentoo 1.4

can anyone help me?

go into a console and su in with your root password.

Type

Code:

vi /etc/X11/XF86Config

Substituting vi with which ever editor you use, then scroll down to the device input section for your mouse and add this line:

Options "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

Then save the changes and restart X or reboot. Your mouse wheel should now work. Although, strangely enough, it should work with the same config :/

This is the only thing I can think of right now... sorry.

I already have the "ZAxisMapping" in my config file!

that is why it works under kernel2.4 but i don't know why it doesn't workt under kernel2.6!
