I have an Avertech 6100HS Laptop. I'm running Slackware 10 (xorg 6.8.1) and can currently boot either 2.4.26 or 2.6.10.

I have a Logitech USB Optical Mouse which works fine when I boot 2.4.26 however it does not work in 2.6.10. I have USB human interface device (full hid support) as well as /dev/hiddev enabled in the 2.6.10 kernel.

xorg config for mouse:

Driver "mouse"

Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

I have also tried /dev/input/mice to no avail.

If I change the protocol to PS/2 my touch pad will work. As soon as I start X using the IMPS/2 protocol my mouse NOR keyboard will work and I have to reboot.

Any avice is appreciated.

Got it working. For the record, I had to enable `OHCI HCD Support` in my kernel.
