Question Mouse in SUSE 8.0

Hi,

I just recently installed SUSE 8.0.... everything works perfectly, grafics, ...

but my mouse doesn't work!!!

either it works, but doesn't display the mouse arrow (you can tell that it works, cause it highlights some fields when you go over them

or after youve logged off and on again, it suddenly displays the mouse, but it doesnt move any more.

.... for the people who only like to give tips... I've been searching for this problem, and found a similar one at "LinuxQuestions.org" but it didn't solve the problem.....

would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Oh, and by the way, it's just a plain Ps/2 Mouse, it runs fine on Winblows (got both on my box) I first tried a Microsoft mouse, and then two other no name mice, and they all have an identical problem... so that means it as to be a software problem, right?
