Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Mounting Sony Ericsson Z1010 via USB

Hi,

I'm trying to mount my new Sony Ericsson Z1010 via the included usb-cabel. Unfortunately, it is not supported by the mass storage module, which I have included in my kernel. I can see it is found, since the last entry in dmesg after I connect the phone, is 'usb x-x: new full speed USB device using address x'. Alas, to my regret, no other entry appears after this in dmesg and therefore, I have no entries under /dev/ which I can use as a mount point.
Does anyone have any experience with mounting mobile phones via usb?

Thx
