mounting sata drives in ubuntu linux

ok, firstly i am a complete newbie to linux. I had tried installing mandrake on my computer, but it wouldnt work because of my sata hard disks. I heard that ubuntu linux was the best one for hardware, and it worked to install. Although i cant access my windows sata partitions. Linux is installed on the same drive as windows. and i have another 200GB sata drive that is just for storage. I would greatly appreciate any help
