mount windows


Does any of you know a way i can mount my windows partition with read/write access? i did

mkdir /mnt/Windows

and

[fstab]
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs defaults 1 1

then mount /mnt/windows

and i cant write or copy to it... just read from it

From what I know about the ntfs support in the kernel, write access is potentially dangerous for an ntfs file system. If this is still feasible for you, make sure you compile your kernel for ntfs write support.

Consider yourself lucky.

NTFS support is Read-Only.
Do NOT write to NTFS from Linux.
It may corrupt your NTFS filesystem.

good thing you said something before i did it now to figure out how to burn 2GB onto 3 cds...

tar and gunzip your 2 GB then burn it. It should be enought to fit on 3 cds
