modprobe ?


It seems like I don't have modprobe on my computer... noticed it while trying to install the ALSA drivers...

how come I don't have it and how do I get it???

Were you logged in as root at the time? Otherwise it won't work.

I was su... but maybe that isn't sufficient.. thx for the tip... I'll try it from root =)

you will *ALWAYS* have modprobe on your system. in /sbin/
