mobility radeon 9000 driver switch

Hi there,

Up until today, I was using Fedora Core 2 standard "radeon" driver to use in my laptop. I decided to try the official ATI drivers, and so I installed them. Disappointed by their performance, I rolled back to the original driver (and restored my original xorg.conf file). Now 3D performance is much worse than what I had before, and I can't understand why... (glxconfig still gives me a Yes when asking for direct rendering support, but the performance is just appaling)...

Here's what I did to uninstall the ATI drivers:

rpm -e fglrx

And then copied a backed-up copy of my xorg.conf file and replace the one the ATI driver created.

I am sure the ATI driver installation has changed something else in my system, but I can't find out what...

Thanks!!

Carles
