Method testing LCD monitor

Hi folks,

Just purchased a new Samsung 24" display, model 2494HM. I need to test it for dead pixels. Because the shop didn't test it, saying that if there are more than 3 dead pixels, Samsung will replace a new LCD display within 7 days.

Google "how to test LCD display" found following link;
LCD dead pixel test - Dead Pixels Test
http://www.gdargaud.net/Hack/DeadPixels.html#LCD

But I have no idea how to proceed. Could you please help. TIA

How could this possibly be difficult... You seriously can't follow the bit that says you just click on the images and look at the screen??

Alternatively, make screen white, use eyes to look at screen. make screen black, use same eyes to look at screen again.

Clicked all;
* Black&White
* White&Black
* Blue&Yellow
* Yellow&Blue
* Cyan&Red
* Red&Cyan
* Green&Magenta
* Magenta&Green

Only a grey screen appeared.

Just use GIMP to make a white and a black background, you should be able to see any dead or stuck pixels quite easily. Not that some pixels may be stuck and not dead, in which case you may be able to fix it:
