Matrox Millenium Linux support


How well is the Matrox Millinium PCI card supported under linux ?

When i use it under fedora 12 the screen is blurred. it couldt be a wrong config. but i dont know

I am currently using the Intel 845GV chipset with onboard graphics.

It's pretty bad. I consider my decision to get one as the worst hardware choice I've ever made.

The guy who runs the forum does his best to patch the kernel drivers for newer kernel versions, but with the x drivers we are stuck with the binaries from matrox. I'm currently runninig X.Org 1.6.5 because matrox has not provided drivers for newer versions.

I've never been able to get more than one display or 3D accel working with free drivers.

Ok, maybe I jumped the gun here. Indeed the G series are great on linux (that is why I hastily chose matrox), but the newer P series are complete dogs.
